TEEN NEWS:
Dec. 31, 2008 – All-Nighter in the
Fellowship Hall (after the church service)
Jan. 29-31, 2009
– Winter Retreat at Appalachian Bible College.
Cost is $58, and includes snow-tubing at
Winter-Place, a speaker from The Wilds Christian
Camp, and you get to attend college classes. If
interested, a deposit of $30 is due by Jan. 4,
2009.

DECEMBER PROJECTS:
Christmas Poinsettias
– See Amanda to order a poinsettia in memory or
in honor of loved one. Cost is $15. We must have
your order & money today.
2009 Church Calendar
– Submit your activity dates for next year’s
calendar by next Sunday.
Ronald McDonald House
– Bring items for the Ronald McDonald House Wish
List by December 16th.
Rescue Mission Food Drive
– The barrel will arrive be here for canned
foods from December 1-17.
Adopt-A-Bus Kid for Christmas
– Sign up to provide a $10 Christmas gift
for one of our bus kids. Please bring wrapped
gifts with child’s name by December 17th.

Christmas Food Drive
There will be a barrel in the foyer December
1-17 to collect canned foods for the
Winston-Salem Rescue Mission for Christmas

Ronald McDonald House in
Durham Wish List:
Because the Ronald McDonald House in Durham was
such a big help and a blessing to Todd and
Amanda, the Ladies Fellowship of Vernon Forest
is planning to collect items on the Ronald
McDonald House Wish List (below), instead of
playing a “gift game” at our December meeting.
Bring your items any time and give to Denise
Brown or Barb Brewer.
(The Ladies Fellowship is for all
ladies who attend Vernon Forest.)

on their doorstep? No Christian ambassador has
ever rung the doorbell. No gospel tract or flyer
has been placed in the door. How many of the
people behind those doors will be in the morgue
and in Hell before next week?

Ministry by signing up to visit one
Saturday (or more) during the first
three months of 2008. Bus visitation is
from 10-12 noon on Saturdays. We will
put you with a Bus Worker and off you

If you would like to
read one of the books on the rack,
please fill out the card and place in
the basket provided. We ask that these
books be returned within 2 weeks.
There are many other
books, DVD’s, and CD’s in our library.
You may check these out at anytime as
well. |
